Spring Thematic Series: Indigenous Knowledge, Law and Sound

UBC Sound and the Humanities Research Cluster presents their Spring thematic event series on Indigenous Knowledge, Law & Sound, co-organized by xwélmexw (Stó:lō/Skwah) artist, curator and writer, Professor Dylan Robinson (Musicology) and Professor Julen Etxabe of the Allard School of Law. The first reading group session will discuss Robinson’s article “Reparative Interpellation” and chapter 2 of Hungry Listening: Resonant Theory for Indigenous Sound Studies (2020). Access the PDF of the article and chapter here.

This session will take place on Tuesday, February 7, from 2:30-4PM at the Chan Centre for the Performing Arts. Refreshments will be provided. This is a read-all-that-you-can discussion group, so if you can’t make it through both texts, no problem! Register here to join the conversation.
