Legal Internship for the Court Project at Cinema for Peace Foundation
Cinema for Peace Foundation invites interested students to apply for a legal internship in Berlin, Germany. The Court by the Citizens of the World (“The Court”) is a global independent people’s tribunal modeled on the Nuremberg Trials and serving universal human rights, as defined by the United Nations. Six cases of grave crimes against humanity committed by authoritarian leaders and totalitarian regimes, which enjoy impunity in the current international legal environment, will be brought before The Court. Each of The Court’s weekly hearings will be publicly broadcast and filmed into a 45- to 90-minute documentary chronicling the investigation, prosecution, and adjudication of crimes against humanity. The documentaries will be made widely accessible for the education of the public and the encouragement of future generations to fight for justice and the rule of law.
Dedication to participate in The Court Project is 20 to 30 hours per week, 4 to 8 weeks in total, depending on the project selected to participate. Cinema for Peace Foundation would also provide a certificate of participation to the volunteers as well as guarantee that the name of the Institution is shown in our list of partners in the Court Project.
Please send your expression of interest to thecourt@cinemaforpeace.com.
